To use your Petrol Pay Loyalty payment card for charging sessions across our EV charging network, you first need to activate card payments in the OneCharge app. Below, we guide you through the process step by step.
To use your Petrol Pay Loyalty card across Petrol’s and our partners’ charging infrastructure, follow these three steps:
- Make a contact payment with your physical card at a POS terminal.
This activates the card for use. - Enable card management in the Petrol GO app.
This allows you to authenticate online payments and add the card to OneCharge. - Activate the card for charging payments in OneCharge.
Once activated, you will be able to pay for charging either through the app or directly with your physical card. Follow the instructions below.
Sign in to the OneCharge app
If you are not yet registered with OneCharge, a user account will be automatically created for you when your Petrol Pay Loyalty card is issued. Sign in using the same email address you provided during the card application process.
When logging in for the first time, you will need to reset your password before signing in. You can do this from the “Account” menu.
If you already have a OneCharge account, simply log in with your existing credentials.
Activate charging payments
To add your payment card to the app, go to “Account”, select “Payment”, and then open “Payment Cards.”
Choose the option to add a credit or debit card, then enter your Petrol Pay Loyalty card details: Card number, Expiry date and Three-digit CVV code.
Next, you will need to confirm the card in the Petrol GO app. After successfully entering your card details, you will be asked to approve a €1 verification transaction in Petrol GO. Don’t worry—this is a one-time authorization check only. The transaction will be reversed immediately and serves solely to verify the card.
Once verification is complete, your Petrol Pay Loyalty card will appear in the “Payment Cards” section of the OneCharge app. The card will be displayed under the name “Visa.”
You're ready to hit the road!
Your Petrol Pay Loyalty card is now ready to be used for EV charging payments. You can use it to pay for charging sessions at all charging stations within the Petrol network, both in Slovenia and abroad. You can find the full charging network map in the OneCharge app.
If you have multiple payment cards linked to your OneCharge account, make sure to set Petrol Pay Loyalty as your default card in the “Payment Cards” section. Otherwise, charging sessions will be charged to whichever card is currently set as the default payment method.
And one more thing: once your Petrol Pay Loyalty card has been added to OneCharge, you can also start a charging session directly by tapping your physical card on a compatible charging terminal - no need to open the app.
